Steven has decades of experience as a trial lawyer successfully litigating diverse civil matters in a variety of state and federal forums in Maryland and the District of Columbia, including civil jury trials, arbitration, administrative hearings and appellate proceedings, These cases include contract disputes, employment and class action claims, real estate and business disputes, partnership and shareholder conflicts, fraud and negligent misrepresentation claims, and statutory actions. Because of his extensive ligation experience, he is particularly adept at structuring contracts and business arrangements that reduce the risk of litigation and strengthen his clients’ positions if disputes arise.

Over the years, Steven has also represented plaintiffs in a broad array of negligence matters, securing hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts in cases involving serious personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, product liability, automobile and construction-related accidents. He has briefed and argued more than 17 cases before the Maryland appellate courts, including cases that resulted in changes to Maryland law.
